Gjystina was born and raised in Munich but relocated to Switzerland to start her career in recruitment. Always eager to take on challenges and push herself out of her comfort zone, she sees every risk as an opportunity. Her mindset is shaped by her favourite quote – “When it feels scary to jump, that is when you jump.”

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
When I’m not working, I’m lifting weights, lifting forks, and lifting shopping bags – life is all about balance! My mood is also lifted when I spend time with family and friends. Another fun fact about me is that I’ve been obsessed with true crime since I was a kid, so I could probably solve a mystery quicker than a detective!

Who is your Childhood hero?
I am lucky enough to have many heroes: my parents, mentors, and other people who have shown me resilience, kindness, and the importance of community. And, of course, Xena the Warrior Princess.

Where is your favourite place in the world?
Anywhere by the sea, as long as there is sunshine, a sandy beach, a good book in hand, and preferably a cat lounging next to me pretending it is on holiday too!

If you could change one thing about the recruitment industry, what would it be?
To promote more transparency and honesty. At the end of the day, we are all human and clear communication is the foundation of trust. When everyone is on the same page, the process becomes smoother, more enjoyable and more successful for everyone involved.

WhatsApp, it is my personal assistant and my second brain.
